With a pedigree of this calibre this foal should excel in dressage in the future.

San Amour was the dressage performance test champion, a premium stallion at Vechta, and the auction price highlight. He was placed in the finals of the Bundeschampionat and awarded Hauptpramie because of the quality of his first foals.

San Amour's sire Sandro Hit was Bundeschampion and World Champion of six-year-old dressage horses and trained up to grand prix. He has sired over 180 licensed stallions; over 50 grand prix horses and 12 Bundeschampions.

San Amour's dam Puppenfee was reserve champion mare and was granted elite status. She descends from the Oldenburg Arusa dam line. Her sire Plaisir d'Amour has won many grands prix, grand prix special and freestyle competitions. In the Brilliant Ring at the 2011 Oldenburg licensing 4 of the top 6 mares were by San Amour. He has also sired over 30 licensed sons.

The dam is a homebred mare by Vitalis who was well placed in the finals of the World Championships of 6-year-old dressage horses. He is perhaps the best son of the incredible Vivaldi. The granddam is the sister of Nicola Buchanan’s Zidyllic S. She is a direct daughter Scandic, out of a mare by Welt Hit II, the best son of the foundation stallion Weltmeyer.

The grandsire Vitalis was first reserve champion of the main NRW licensing in 2009, dominated the dressage index of his stallion performance test in 2010 in Warendorf and, at an early age, notched up wins and placings at the Dutch stallion championships and at the World Championships of 5-year-old dressage horses in 2012. With Charlotte Jorst he was placed in the finals of the World Championships of 6-year-old dressage horses. Shortly after he dominated the US championship in his age-group with record marks of 10.0 for trot and 9.8 for canter. Since then he has been trained up to advanced level and is successful up to Intermediaire I.

Vitalis' daughter Virginia K was the winner of the elite show and at the Westphalian Week, all five of the three-year-old mare and gelding finalists were offspring of Vitalis. At the autumn elite auction in Münster-Handorf, the four star horses were offspring of Vitalis. The two highest offers were 200.000 euros. To date, 14 of his sons have been licensed, including Veneno, who was sold for 310.000 euros in Vechta in 2014. 2015 brought another rich crop: His daughter Victoria's Secret was German national champion of the four-year-old mares and geldings, two other descendants of Vitalis also reached the final and his daughter Vienna was at the top of the Westphalian elite mare show.

Vitalis' sire Vivaldi, internationally successful with Hans Peter Minderhoud, already sired 19 licensed sons in Germany. Vivaldi was Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test with 9.0 for walk and canter as well as 8.5 for trot, won the five-year-old Pavo-Cup in Holland, won in 2008 "Hengstencompetitie" (stallion competitions) three times and also won in 2009 the final of KWPN tournament series for stallions, where he received 10.0 for his trot. In 2014, Vitalis dominated the World championships of the six-year-old dressage horses in Verden, where his offspring ranked first, third and sixth.

Caratina Idylle S is a KWPN Prok mare by Watermill Scandic. She is the full sister to Nicola Buchanan's Zidyllic S who competed in the Mount St John Future Elite Championship at Horse of the Year Show in 2014. Her dam Ratina Idylle S is by the Weltmeyer son Welt Hit II.

Caratina's sire Scandic, was Reserve Champion in the 2003 Pavo Cup competition for 4-year-olds. Under Remy Bastings, the Solos Carex son next excelled in the Stallion Competition, winning the L-class. Under Annemiek van der Vorm, Scandic debuted at ZZ-light- and ZZ-advanced levels. Patrik Kittel first showed him in the Small Tour and then debuted the stallion at Grand Prix level in 2008 at just 9 years old. Scandic has abundant talent for piaffe and passage and is excelling in the Grand Prix. Scandic has competed in several major championships, such as the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. As a result, the Swedish/Dutch combination was quickly selected for these Olympics.

Caratina's dam Ratina Idylle S is by the Weltmeyer son Welt Hit II who was awarded the title of VTV Dressage Champion in 2004. Welt Hit II was Reserve Champion in his Performance Test, gaining a top dressage mark of 140 in the autumn of 1995. He was top 4 year old stallion in the German Championships at Warendorf in 1996, took the Dressage Champion title at the Zwolle International Stallion Show in 1997 and was top 6 year old at Warendorf in 1998. He went on to compete at Grand Prix level.

Welt Hit II is one of the most outstanding sons of the great Weltmeyer who sired over 88 graded sons. Weltmeyer's sire World Cup I sired 16 graded stallions. His dam Cileste was by the Irish Thoroughbred Hill Hawk XX who was one of the most successful "improving" stallions at the Hanoverian State Stud at Celle. He produced 5 graded sons plus the international dressage horse Highness and his dressage BLUP of 125 is very high for a Thoroughbred Welt Hit ll has already more than 15 approved sons.
