Terms of Sale Policy

The following Terms and Conditions apply:

All horses for sale are open to any trainers or vets to assess by appointment. All vettings should be carried out by a vet of your choice.

We recommend insurance is taken out for your new Horse.

A client can secure any horse by payment of a minimum £1,000 which then forms a contract to purchase and full agreement to these terms and conditions. If the sale is subject to vetting this should be arranged within 3 days of the payment of deposit or deciding to proceed with purchase. Any deposit is fully refundable should the Horse 'fail' the vet within this time. If the purchaser should change their mind then any deposit is forfeited.

Foals purchased will be kept at no additional livery charge until two weeks after they are weaned. A deposit of £1,000 is payable to reserve the foal, then 50% of the balance at 3 months old and the remainder at 6 months old.  At two weeks post weaning livery charges become liable at £45 per horse per week. All veterinary & farriery cost will be passed onto the new owner.

All risk is transferred to the purchaser upon payment of a deposit.

Any balance of payment is due within 3 days by cleared funds. No Horse may be removed from Faside Stud until funds are fully cleared. Any balance remaining unpaid may render the contract cancelled by the purchaser and any deposit is then forfeited.

After the balance has been paid we request that horses are collected within 3 days unless otherwise agreed in writing. Horses leaving after this time will be liable for livery charges.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure accuracy of all information, including pictures & videos on our web site from time to time errors may occur. The details presented within are offered as a guideline only and do not form part of any contract or offer for sale. This does not replace due diligence on behalf of the buyer.

All horses are sold as seen. No warranty is offered or implied for any horse unless specifically stated at time of purchase.

All horses are tried & assessed at your own & your associates risk. We reserve the right to withdraw any horse from viewing or sale at any time.

 Scottish law applies.
